🚀 Powerful Enhancement in Depreciation Run🚀

We’re excited to introduce powerful new enhancements in the Depreciation Run process to make ledger postings more flexible and accurate.

Here’s what’s new:

✅ Grouped Posting
We’ve added a new configuration setting called post_asset_depreciation_detailed that gives you full control over how depreciation entries are posted:

  • When enabled:
    Each asset’s depreciation will be posted individually, creating separate ledger entries for every asset.

  • When disabled:
    If multiple assets share the same expense account, and both belong to the same project and Financial Center, the system will group those assets and post a combined ledger entry instead of separate postings.

This enhancement allows you to choose between granular tracking or simplified grouped postings based on your organization’s reporting preferences.

✅ Smart Ledger Grouping Logic
The system intelligently groups ledger postings using the combination of:

  • Expense Ledger

  • Project

  • Financial Center

This ensures accurate aggregation while maintaining clear links to the relevant project and financial area.
